DANVERS – Richard Michael DelColle, 84, passed away peacefully on April 22nd, 2024 while in hospice care after a brief illness.
Born January 19th, 1940, “Rich” was the son of Al and Doris (Rich) DelColle. Beloved and devoted husband of 54 years to Louise (Davico) DelColle, Rich spent his life ensconced on the beautiful Northshore of Boston.
He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. A graduate of St. John’s Preparatory School and Boston College, Rich worked in executive level positions at several well-known companies during his business career including Zayre Corp, Hewlett Packard, and HelmsBriscoe.
A passionate traveler at heart, Rich and Louise traveled extensively with a favorite destination being Italy. Rich was an avid pilot soaring in his 4-seat Cessna for years before turning his attention to other interests including boating and performance sports cars. He adored Louise but his Ferrari and Maserati also received a lot of his attention! Friends and family will miss this kind, considerate, big-hearted gentleman whose humor was legendary and smile infectious.
He will be remembered as a wonderful providing husband, greatest of friends, and someone who loved his family deeply. In addition to his wife, Rich is survived by his brother, Robert, godson, Nick DeLuiso, six nieces, one nephew, and several grand nieces and nephews. Preceding Rich in death was his brother, Paul, as well as many cousins, friends, and colleagues.
