BEVERLY – Mr. Alfred F. Bucharowski, 93 of Beverly, loving husband of 71 years to the late Jean M. (Caliri) Bucharowski, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at the Residence at Riverbend in Ipswich.
Born in Salem, Alfred, lovingly known as Fred by family and friends, was the son of the late Pawel and Anna (Belej) Bucharowski. He was raised and educated in Salem, attending Salem High School, graduating in 1948.
With a focus on the machine trade, Fred started his professional career at the United Shoe Machinery Corporation in Beverly. Through his skills and expertise, Fred founded and operated Jones Machine Company Inc. in 1976, working persistently, dedicating over 46 years to his business, working alongside his family and close friends.
With a drive to stay busy, Fred found great joy in helping others with his handyman skills and tending to his extensive vegetable garden, sharing his product with others. He loved being by the water, fly fishing, boating, and catching lobsters and flounder. Throughout life, Fred strived to provide for his family, making sure he was always there for them, and they never went without. As a family, they enjoyed summer trips all over New England and later in life, Fred and Jean enjoyed cruising to tropical places and spending time at their vacation home in Florida. Alfred will be fondly remembered for his hard work and devotion to his family. He will be deeply missed by many.
Alfred is survived by his daughters, Trish Muse and her husband, William of Pelham, NH and Linda Tirrell and her husband, Jay Martin of Nashua, NH; his son, David Bucharowski and his wife, Dianna of Boxford; 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Alfred was the father of the late Maryellen Bucharowski and brother of the late Ann Sieczkowski, Helen Jaskiel and Richard Bucharowski.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to attend Alfred funeral service, which will be held graveside at St. Mary’s Cemetery, 226 North Street, Salem on Monday, August 14th at 11:30 A.M.
