Anastasia (Morse)
Sharp
January 24, 2015
MARBLEHEAD- Mrs. Anastasia M. Sharp 84, of Marblehead, beloved wife of the late Daniel Sharp, died Friday evening at the Kaplan Family Hospice House following a brief illness.
Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Stephania (Jarzembowsici) Morse. She was raised and educated in Lynn and was a graduate of St. Mary's High School for Girls in Lynn, where she received a full scholarship.
Mrs. Sharp had been employed for many years as an Executive Assistant. She was associated with the former Essex Bank and assisted executive Thomas Chatfield for the duration of both their careers. She was a dedicated professional and never referred to her profession as "work", she loved her time supporting the people at the bank. She took great pride in her career and was a valued member of the banking staff until the time of her retirement.
A longtime resident of the Town of Marblehead, Anastasia was fiercely independent. She was well organized in her profession and her life. She dotted every I and crossed every T. This was evident by the fact that until her illness three months ago she lived on her own at the age of 84. She was friendly to her neighbors and to all that she came across.
Anastasia is survived by many dear friends including Lucy, Carol, Guy, Mary Ellen and Bob, Pamela and Bob and her coffee "Pals" at their Weekly Trips to Crosby's Market.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral Mass which will be held in Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, 80 Atlantic Ave., Marblehead, Friday, Jan. 30th at 10 A.M. Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Lynn. As requested visiting hours omitted. Assisting the family with the arrangements is The O'Donnell Funeral Home 46 Washington Sq., (at Salem Common) Salem. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Anastasia' memory to Spaulding Rehabilitation Network, Development Office, (For North Shore Campus, Please specify 2nd Floor) 1575 Cambridge St., Cambridge, MA 02138.
