SALEM – Mrs. Angelina (Villano) Scialdone, 92, of Salem, beloved wife of the late Salvatore Scialdone, died peacefully, Wednesday, November 3rd, 2021.
Born in Italy, she was the daughter of the late Cesare and Carmela (Russo) Villano. She was raised and educated in Vitulazio, Italy and immigrated to the United States in 1948, settling in Salem.
Mrs. Scialdone had been employed as a seamstress for many years with various companies in Salem and most recently had been associated with Dominique Company of Lynn for 15 years until the time of her retirement.
A longtime resident of the City of Salem, Angelina was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed spending her time bowling, playing bingo, shopping and supporting her children and grandchildren in all of their endeavors. A very spiritual person, she was devoted to her faith and a dedicated member of the former St. Mary’s Italian Church in Salem and more recently Ste. Anne’s Church in Salem. Above all else family always came first. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Angelina is survived by her daughters, Carmella Cote and her companion, Robert Duprez of Salem and Diane Richmond and her husband, James of Salem, her grandchildren, James Jr., Thomas, Lisa, Matthew, Melanie, Daniel and Timothy, her great grandchildren, Elise, Evan, Aaron, Alex, Sienna, Tyler and Chloe, her daughter-in-law, Carole Scialdone and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Anthony Scialdone and sister of the late Carmela, John and Josephine.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral service will be held at O’Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 84 Washington Square, (at Salem Common) SALEM, Monday, November 8th at 12 noon. Relatives and friends invited. Masks must be worn at all services and the family requests no physical contact. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem. Visiting hours prior to the service, Monday, November 8th, from 10 A.M. to 12 Noon. Donations in her memory may be made to Alzheimer’s & Dementia Society, 225 N.
