BOXFORD - Mrs. Barbara Estyleene (Lawson) 'Bobbi' McKenna, 65, of Boxford, beloved wife of the late Dr. Charles Michael McKenna, died Monday, April 9, 2012, in Beverly Hospital surrounded by her family. Born in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late Wilson Carl Lawson, Jr. and Margaret Antoinette (Higgs) Crawford, of St. Petersburg, FL. She was raised and educated in Camp Springs, Maryland, and attended the University of Maryland. Prior to her marriage, Barbara had been employed with Bell South. She then began the greatest profession of her life being a full-time mother. A resident of Boxford since 1984, Barbara was very active in the community. She was a member and former President of the Boxford Athletic Association, a long time member and former Chair of the Masconomet School Committee, a Girl Scout leader and a CCD teacher. A devoted mother, she dedicated her life to her family, cheering on her children in all of their many endeavors. She will be remembered for her generous heart: opening her home to family, friends and strangers, making meals for others in need, and giving of her time and resources to make others happy. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be deeply missed. Barbara is survived by her two sons, Patrick McKenna of Boxford and Michael McKenna and Jill Merchant of Boston; her five daughters, Suzanne McKenna of Nashville, TN, Lisa Salisbury and her husband Steve of Middleton, Colleen McKenna of New Market, MD, Megan Beaton and her husband Danny of Quincy and Mary Kadlec and her husband Joe of Arlington, VA; her brother, Dennis Crawford of St. Petersburg, FL; and her nine grandchildren, Grace and Annie Salisbury, Gavin and Caleb Wernau, Thomas McKenna, Theodore Hayden, Toni and Eliza Beaton, and Ramsay Kadlec. ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral will be held from the Peterson- O'Donnell Funeral Home 167 Maple St., (Rte. 62) Danvers on Saturday at 10:15 A.M. followed by her Fu- neral Mass in St. Mary of the An- nunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers at 11 A.M. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours Friday from 4 to 8 P.M. Burial will be private.
