SALEM – Mrs. Beatrice Marie (Durocher) MacIntyre, 78 of Sanford, Maine, former longtime resident of the City of Salem for 75 years and the beloved wife of the late Charles G. MacIntyre and mother of the late Brian L. MacIntyre, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 1, 2020 at Newton Center for Rehab in Sanford, Maine.
Born in Nahant, Beatrice was the daughter of the late Willard Durocher and Lorraine (Abbot) Latora. Raised and educated in Salem, Beatrice was a graduate of Salem High School class of 1960.
Throughout her life, Beatrice held several jobs; one most fondly remembered by her family, friends and community was her job at the Popcorn Kitchen on Pickering Wharf in the late 80’s.
Beatrice was an avid bingo player and loved playing bingo right until the end of her life. In her free time, she enjoyed visiting the casinos with her friends and family. Spending time with her family and friends was of upmost importance and brought her great joy, especially the time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be sadly missed and remembered often by all who knew and loved her.
Beatrice is survived by her son, Charles G. MacIntyre, Jr. and his wife Carol of Sanford, ME, her 6 grandchildren and their spouses, Holly and Roman Miller, Justine and Doug Williams, Joseph and Megan MacIntyre, Erik MacIntyre, Taylor MacIntyre and Brandon MacIntyre, her 9 great-grandchildren, her sister, Mary Ellen and her husband Gerry Labelle, her brother, Lucien St. Amand, and several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to attend Beatrice’s visitation which will be held at O’Donnell – Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 84 Washington Square, Salem, MA 01970 on Thursday, November 5th from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. All other services are private. All attendees are required to wear face coverings and practice social distancing.
