SALEM - Mr. Bertram J. Beaulieu 83, of Salem, beloved husband of the late Marguerite "Joan" (Febonio) Beaulieu, died Sunday October 16, 2011 in Marlborough Hills Health Center in Marlborough.
Born in Salem, he was the son of the late Alfred and Alexina (Poussard) Beaulieu. He was raised and educated in Salem and attended Salem High School. Mr. Beaulieu continued his education upon returning from his service to his country at Essex Agricultural School.
An honorably discharged veteran, Bertram served his country as a member of the United States Army during World War II.
A landscaper by trade, Mr. Beaulieu was a self-employed landscape laborer for many years. It was a profession he truly loved.
A dedicated father and husband, he had a true love of gardening and the out of doors. Mr. Beaulieu had been a resident of Herndon, VA during some of his retirement years and truly enjoyed visiting Winter Island when he was home in Salem.
Bertram is survived by his children, Bert Beaulieu and his wife Marsha of Virginia, Roger Beaulieu and his wife Judith of Salem, Michael Beaulieu of Salem, Mark Beaulieu and his wife Patricia of New Hampshire and Patricia Beaulieu of Massachusetts, his eight grandchildren, his siblings, Lucien Beaulieu and his wife Jeannette of Peabody, Florence Owens of Salem and Loraine Marconi of Peabody and several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral will be held from The O'Donnell Funeral Home 46 Washington Sq., (at Salem Common) Salem, Friday at 8:15 A.M. followed by his funeral Mass in Ste. Anne's Church, Jefferson Ave, Salem at 9 A.M. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem. Visiting hours Thursday from 4 to 7 P.M.
