EAST BOSTON – Brenda Ellen Conway of East Boston, passed away May 3, 2021 at home. She was the daughter of the late Brendan and Eleanor (Hughes) Conway of Salem.
Born and raised in Salem, Brenda graduated from Salem High School, Class of 1972 and continued her education graduating from University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She had been employed for many years with Verizon and at several prominent restaurants in Boston. In her youth, she was active in the local Drum and Bugle Corps. First with the Salem Comets and then the Rockettes as a drummer and a member of the Color Guard.
Brenda is survived by her Conway brothers; Jim Conway and his wife, Pat of Wakefield, John Conway and his wife, Betsy of Salem, Dave Conway and his wife, Bonnie of Merrimac and Lenny Conway of Salem. She was predeceased by her brother, Bob Conway. Brenda is survived by several nieces and nephews and dozens of cousins who will all miss her dearly.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral services were privately held at Harmony Grove Cemetery in Salem.
