MARBLEHEAD – Ms. Bridget M. O’Mahoney, 89, of Marblehead, formerly of Salem and Quincy, died Friday, April 10, 2020 at the Lafayette Nursing Home in Marblehead.
Born in Nohoval, Bally Feard, Kinsale, County Cork, Ireland, she was the daughter of the late John and Frances (Lynch) O’Mahoney. She was raised and educated in England and immigrated to the United States where she resided for the majority of her adult life.
Ms. O'Mahoney had been employed with Aer Lingus in their Corporate Offices located in Boston. She began her career as a secretary and then became an agent and hostess. She was involved in the opening of many of the Aer Lingus offices worldwide. She traveled the world and coordinated travel arrangements for dignitaries and important clients of Aer Lingus.
A longtime resident of Quincy, she moved to the North Shore in 2000 with her sister, making Salem her home until recently moving to Marblehead. She enjoyed classical music and travel having crossed the globe for both business and pleasure.
Bridget was the sister of the late Theresa, William, Francis and Michael Mahoney. She is survived by many cousins in the United States and in Ireland.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral Mass will be held in Ireland with burial in Nohoval Cemetery, Ireland.
