SALEM- Mrs. Charlene Rosemary Beaudoin, 68, of Salem, formerly of Peabody, passed away on Tuesday, June 24th, 2014 at Salem Hospital after a long illness. She was the beloved wife of David Beaudoin.
Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Lucille O'Keefe. She was a graduate of Salem High School, Class of 1963 and North Shore Community College.
Mrs. Beaudoin had been employed as a Registered Nurse at the former Lynn Hospital and the former Danvers State Hospital. Even with her numerous physical ailments, Charlene kept abreast of the latest issues in nursing and she never lost her wonderful sense of humor.
In addition to her loving husband, Charlene is survived by her children, Sean Carey and his partner Sheila, and Jennifer Carey; her granddaughter, Hannah Carey, all of Danvers; and her brother, Rev. Joseph O'Keefe, S.J. of Boston College.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral Mass will be held in Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, Atlantic Avenue, Marblehead, Monday, June 30th at 10 A.M. Relatives and friends invited. Burial will be at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Visiting hours omitted. Assisting the family with the arrangements is The O'Donnell Funeral Home 46 Washington Sq., (at Salem Common) Salem. Donations in Charlene's memory may be sent to Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, 80 Atlantic Avenue, Marblehead MA 01945.
