DANVERS- Mr. Charles Edward Claar Jr. 80, of Danvers, beloved husband of the late Mary A. (Ruma) Claar, died Tuesday, February 16th, 2016 at Beverly Hospital.

Born in Gloucester he was the son of the late Charles E. Sr. and Edna (Young) Claar. He was raised and educated in Gloucester and was a graduate of Gloucester High School.

Mr. Claar had been employed for many years as an accountant with the Building Center in Gloucester until the time of his retirement in 2005.

A loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Charles was devoted to his family. He was a long time resident of Gloucester and Beverly, prior to moving to Danvers eleven years ago. He enjoyed traveling to Aruba but he truly treasured the time spent with his beloved family. He will be deeply missed.

Charles is survived by his daughter, Marianne Claar of Boston, his son Charles Edward "Chuck" Claar III and his fiancée Cheri of Beverly, his grandson, Chad Claar of Milf ord, N.H. and Andi-Lee Claar of Salem, his six great grandchildren, his sister, Donna Fridriksson of Florida and several nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral service will be held in the Peterson-O'Donnell Funeral Home 167 Maple St., (rte 62) Danvers, Friday, Feb. 19th at 11 A.M.. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in Wadsworth Cemetery, Danvers. Visiting hours Thursday Feb. 18th from 4 to 7 P.M.
