DANVERS- Mr. Charles D. Sinclair Jr. 88, of Danvers, beloved husband of Dorothy (Long) Sinclair of 64 years, passed away to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 12th, 2016 at Ledgewood Nursing and Rehabilitation Home in Beverly, surrounded by his family.

Born in Middletown, CT., he was the son of the late Charles D. Sr. and Pearl (Williams) Sinclair.

An honorably discharged veteran, he served his country as a member of the United States Navy and the United States Army.

Mr. Sinclair had been employed with Parker Brothers Games of Salem for over 43 years until the time of his retirement. He met the love of his life Dot while working together at Parker Brothers. Following retirement, he was employed at Cedar Glen Nursing Home in Danvers. Charlie shared his love for people by volunteering at the Hogan Regional Center for many years.

A loving husband, father and grandfather, Charlie was devoted to his family and community. A longtime resident of the Town of Danvers, he was an active 60 year member of the Holy Trinity United Methodist Church in Danvers and for many years volunteered to lead the church's youth group. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post #2359 of Danvers and the Quarter Century Club at Parker Brothers. An active and outstanding Mason, he was a proud member of the Amity-Mosaic Lodge A.F. & A.M. of Danvers for over 25 years. He enjoyed camping at Baxter Lake for more than 30 years and will be remembered for the woodcarvings he created for his friends. Above all else family was paramount in his life.

Charlie is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy (Long) Sinclair, his daughters, Linda (Bill) Piotrowski, Nancy (Rich) Stantial, Janet (Alfred) Felice, Patricia (Donald) Muse and Susan (David T.) Stentiford, his 8 grandchildren, Jonathan (Andrea), Jessica, Michelle (Nick), Katherine, Donald Jr. (Chamee), Joseph, Evan and Kelsey and his two great grandchildren, Jackson and Lillian, his siblings, Elliot Sinclair and Thelma Ouellette and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Harold and Doris Sinclair.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to a celebration of Charlie's life to be held in the Fellowship Hall of the Holy Trinity United Methodist Church, Sylvan St., Danvers, Friday, Nov. 18th from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. Private burial was held in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Danvers. Assisting the family with the arrangements is the Peterson-O'Donnell Funeral Home 167 Maple St., (rte 62) Danvers. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Charlie's memory to Friends of the Danvers Council on Aging, 25 Stone St., Danvers, MA 01923 or to the Holy Trinity United Methodist Church, 16 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA 01923.
