ESSEX- Mrs. Charlotte Maxton Moore 76, of Essex, beloved wife of Leslie Moore, died Wednesday evening at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.

Born in Phoenixville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Dorothy (Billig) Maxton. She was raised and educated in Pennsylvania and was a graduate of The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She worked as a commercial artist in both Philadelphia and Boston before her marriage.

She was a loving wife and mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed.

In addition to her husband, Charlotte is survived by her daughter; Alison Moore Cotter and her husband Sean of Seal Beach, California, her son Justin Moore and his wife Lisa Carey Moore of Jamesville, N.Y., her grandchildren, Emma and Patrick Cotter and Mackenzie and Quincy Moore, her brother Thomas Maxton III of Wallowa, Oregon and several nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: A memorial service will be planned at a later date. Assisting the family with the arrangements is the Peterson-O'Donnell Funeral Home 167 Maple St., (rte 62) Danvers. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Charlotte's memory to the Natural Resource Defense Council, 40 West 20th Street, New York, NY 10011, to the Planned Parenthood Federations 434 West 33rd Street New York, NY 10001 or to the National Parks and Conservation Association, 777 6th Street, NW, Suite 700, Washington, DC 20001.
