Christopher Jon Schlosser 44 of Danvers, was killed suddenly as a pedestrian on route 114, February 22, 2012.
The son of Candace Howard, step father Peter F. Howard & father Bob Lacey (Mary). Christopher was born in Cranston, RI, graduated from Danvers High School in 1985 and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts at University of Massachusetts Amherst. He continued his education at Westfield State for Drug & Alcohol Counseling, while also caring for a house-bound man who required a feeding tube and other nursing care. Christopher was a sensitive, thoughtful soul. He had a true love for art, especially water colors, etchings and oil paintings, and had done several works of art for family members that will be forever cherished. He lived many years in Western Massachusetts. He returned to the Danvers area where he grew up and lived there for the last year and a half.
Christopher is survived by his mother, Candace & step father, Peter, from Foxfire Village, NC, father, Bob, from Charlotte, NC, sister, Carly Schlosser, Middletown, CT, step brother, Jason Howard (Beth), Alpharetta, GA step sister, Liz Bender (Mike), Manassas VA, half sisters, Landon & Ali Lacey, Charlotte, NC, aunt, Eliza Johnson (Wayne), Hopkinton, MA, cousin Emma Johnson, Hopkinton, MA, uncle Kenneth Schlosser, Charlotte, NC, aunt Beth Ann Barth (Mark) Orlando, FL, uncle Milton J. Smedberg, Cheshire, CT, cousin Paul Smedberg (Carey), Cheshire, CT, cousin Lisa Sue Smedberg (Kim), Boston, MA, uncle J. Rogers Howard (Carolann), Phippsburg, ME, uncle Aldace Howard, Forrest Grove, OR. He was predeceased within the last year by his half brother, John Lacey of Charlotte, NC, aunt, Nancy Smedberg of Cheshire CT, uncle Emmanual Steven Brown of Middletown, CT, grandmother Nancy B. Carpenter of Wallingford, CT and grandmother Mary Teft Schlosser of Winston Salem, NC.
ARRANGEMENTS: A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 27th 2:00 to 3:00 P.M. in the Maple Street Congregational Church, Maple St., Danvers. There will be a reception following the service at the Danversport Yacht Club for immediate family and close friends from 4 to 6 P.M. Immediate family members and those wishing to attend the burial and prayers are invited to St. John's Cemetery, Wallingford, CT on Saturday, April 28th at 12:30 P.M. Deacon James Taylor, from Our Lady of Fatima Church will say a prayer in Christopher's memory. Assisting the family with the arrangements is the Peterson-O'Donnell Funeral Home 167 Maple St., (rte 62) Danvers.
