Constance (Thomas) Silvernail

WESLEY CHAPEL, FL- Mrs. Constance (Thomas) Silvernail, 82, of Wesley Chapel, FL formerly of Danvers, passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at Advent Health Hospital, following a brief illness.

Born in Danvers, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Olive (Durkee) Thomas. She was raised and educated in Danvers and was a graduate of the former Holten High School Class of 1955. Constance continued her education and received her Bachelor’s degree from Salem State College in 1959 and her Master’s degree in Education from SUNY at Potsdam, NY Class of 1962.

Mrs. Silvernail, began a long and distinguished career in education, first as an elementary school teacher where she taught in several communities including Danvers, Topsfield and Georgetown. Later she became an instructor in computer training for the telephone company. She was hardworking and dedicated to her profession whether teaching young children or adults; her goal was always to be the best teacher she could be to insure the success of her students.

A loving mother and grandmother, Constance was a strong woman who instilled good values in her children. She always led by example; encouraging a good education, to be strong and determined and reap the benefits of a strong work ethic.

She was truly proud of her children and enjoyed sharing their many milestones and accomplishments.

Surviving Constance is her daughter, Leann Silvernail of Wesley Chapel, FL, her son Scott Silvernail and his wife Maria of Land of Lakes, FL, her granddaughter, Sarah Silvernail of Land of Lakes, FL, and her sister Muriel Feldman of Raleigh, NC. She was also the sister of the late Richard W. Thomas.
