Cynthia L. (Hoar) Preczewski

PEABODY – Mrs. Cynthia L. Preczewski, 74, of Peabody passed away Saturday, March 11th at Salem Hospital. Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Bertha (Spurling) Hoar. She was the wife of Francis W. Preczewski, Jr. with whom she celebrated 43 years of marriage before his passing in 2013.

Mrs. Preczewski was raised and educated in Salem, graduating from Salem High School in 1966 before continuing her education at North Shore Community College. After graduation she went on to work for the Salem YMCA and Holyoke Insurance Company. Cynthia went on to work for North Shore Community College for 20 years in their human resources department, before retiring as their Benefits Coordinator.

Cynthia was of the Catholic faith and a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church in Salem. She also served as Treasurer for the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary for many years, and was Vice President of the Sheridan School PTA.

Cynthia is survived by her daughter Kimberly Ann Meilleur of Hampton, NH, and son Ryan Francis Preczewski of Westfield, IN, grandchildren Shawn Francis Preczewski and Christopher John Preczewski Westfield, IN, her sister Leslie Holler of Newark, OH, and her brother J. David Hoar of Windham, ME, as well as several nieces and nephews.

ARRANEGMENTS: Family and friends are invited to her Funeral Service which will be held at O'Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 84 Washington Square, (at Salem Common) SALEM, on Wednesday, March 15th, 2023 at 11A.M. Visiting hours will be held prior from 9 A.M. until the time of service. Burial to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, 57 Orne St, Salem.
