SALEM - David Brown's soul left his body New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2021 due to an accidental fall at home.
He lived his beliefs. Born and raised in Boston, the son of European immigrants, he was a Socialist and a practicing Wiccan who worked as a state Social Worker in Chelsea for over 25 years.
He helped found and lived in a cooperative for 30 years. He was known as the man who could absolutely be trusted to keep his promises.
He authored the novel Days of Darkness, published under the pen name, Alfred Memel.
He is survived by his brother, Jim Brown, his dear friend, Adrienne Tybjerg, and his intentional family. He was predeceased by his parents and his life partner, Barbara Bannick.
He was a good man.
