David Casey Obituary

PEABODY- Mr. David P. Casey, 59, of Peabody, beloved husband of Nancy (Gebow) Casey, passed away suddenly, December 20th, 2021 at Tufts Medical Center in Boston with his loving wife by his side.

Born in Chelsea, he was the son of the late John and Ada (Maguire) Casey. He was raised and educated in Saugus and was a graduate of Saugus High School.

Mr. Casey had been employed at Ipswich Country Club for over 18 years, where he was a trusted confidante, favorite mixologist and go to guy for all the patrons who frequented the men’s lounge on a regular basis. Dave never met a new customer only a new friend.

A loving husband and uncle, Dave was devoted to his family. Nancy was the love of his life and his 26 nieces and nephews were his children. He was a big kid at heart, who loved being surrounded by his many nieces and nephews and involved in their many activities, attending their sporting events, horsing around with them at family gatherings or just being there for any support they may need. He was a wonderful man who was kind, charming with a great sense of humor that endeared him to many.

An avid football fan, Dave enthusiastically cheered on the Patriots. He loved boating and being outdoors. He will be fondly remembered for his love of family, his big heart and charming personality and deeply missed by his family, friends and all those he touched throughout his life.

Surviving David, in addition to his wife, Nancy with whom he shared 28 years of marriage, are his sisters-in-law, Jane Kelley of Danvers and Aldonna Linares of Beverly and his 26 beloved nieces and nephews.
