Deborah Watson Obituary

TOPSFIELD – Mrs. Deborah J. (Harris) Watson, 55 of Topsfield, beloved wife of Barry E. Watson passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at Beverly Hospital.

Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of Joan (D’Entremont) Harris and the late Gene Harris. Raised and educated in Middleton, she was a graduate of Masconomet High School class of 1984 where she met her high school sweetheart, best friend and love of her life Barry.

Debbie spent a rewarding career as an educator at the Steward School of Topsfield in their after school program for over 25 years. She absolutely adored each student she crossed paths with and made many lifelong friends during her years there.

A loving and devoted wife, mother and new grandmother, family was Debbie’s everything. She truly went above and beyond to provide a warm and loving home for her husband, caring for him during his illness and making sure her children were happy and healthy. Summer was her season, she loved spending her days poolside or soaking up the sun at the beach. Debbie was fun loving with an easy smile that endeared her to many. She will be deeply missed by her loving family, friends and her community.

In addition to her husband Barry with whom she shares over 30 years of marriage, Debbie is survived by her daughters, Stephanie Watson Yaeger and her husband Matthew of Manchester, NH and Kimberly Watson and her partner Ryan Boya of Vermont. She is predeceased by her father Gene Harris and father-in-law Frank Watson. She is also survived by her mother Joan Harris of Peabody, her mother-in-law Margaret M. Watson of Topsfield, her step-mother Phyllis Ryan of Newburyport, granddaughter Kimberly Grace Yaeger, sister Paula Harris of Peabody, brother Timothy Harris of Pelham, NH, and many brothers & sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and friends.
