PEABODY – Mr. Donald W. Wolff, 65, of Peabody, beloved husband of the Maryann (Raney) Wolff, died unexpectedly Tuesday, June 9th, 2020 at his home following a medical incident.
Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late Ruben and Grace (Dube) Wolff. He was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Salem High School. He continued his education at New England Institute of Anatomy in Boston.
Mr. Wolff was the Proprietor of Wolff Construction Company for over 45 years working in both commercial and residential capacities. A true craftsman, Donnie was known for his skill and quality of work. Mr. Wolff had also been a licensed Funeral Director Apprentice and for many years had been associated with O’Donnell Funeral and Cremation Service of Salem and Danvers and the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home of Lynn. He took great pride in being able to comfort those in their most difficult times.
A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle, Donnie was always quick to laugh and great story teller. He treasured taking road trips on his Harley, boating and fishing on Lake Winnipesauke and his annual family vacations. He was a diehard New England Patriots Fan and never missed a game.
A long-time resident of the City of Peabody, Donnie could often be found walking his beloved dogs throughout the neighborhood. He was devoted to his family and would do anything to make their lives better. He was the ultimate grandfather and was happiest when surrounded by his family. He will be deeply missed.
Donnie is survived by his loving wife Maryann “May” Wolff of Peabody, his daughter, Meaghan Wolff of Peabody, his son, Matthew Wolff and his wife Jessica of Methuen, his grandchildren, Autumn and Austin Wolff and Zachary and Benjamin Wolff, his brothers, Alan “Dusty” Wolff and his wife, Patricia of Peabody and Danny Wolff and his wife, Denise of Danvers and several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Donald Wolff Jr. and brother of the late Jason Wolff.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours in the Peterson-O’Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St., (rte 62) Danvers, Friday, June 12th from 10 AM to 12 noon. All other services are private. All attendees are required to wear face coverings, practice social distancing and are respectfully asked for no physical contact with the family.
