Doris J. (Walsh) Costantino

METHUEN – Mrs. Doris J. (Walsh) Costantino, 84 of Methuen, loving wife of James L. Costantino, Jr. passed away peacefully on Friday, June 4, 2021 at the Care Dimensions Hospice House in Lincoln with her devoted family by her side.

Born in Salem, Doris was the daughter of the late Frank Walsh and Lauretta (Page) Greene. Raised and educated in Danvers, Doris received her education there.

For many years, Doris worked for HotWatt in Danvers. She was skilled in many aspects of her job and enjoyed being able to help and accomplish any task presented to her. Up until the time of her retirement, Doris worked for 15 years as a caretaker for adults with disabilities at Triangle Group Home in Beverly where she loved to spend time and tend to the needs of her clients.

A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Doris was all about her family. She loved to join her husband Jim on his many motorcycle endeavors where they enjoyed taking trips to New Hampshire or simply down to the Salem Willows to enjoy a Chop Suey sandwich. She was a great cook who loved to make hearty meals for her family, providing a warm and loving home for all who visited. She was the glue to her family and her passing leaves them heartbroken. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her husband Jim, with whom she shared 66 wonderful years of marriage, Doris is survived by her children; Harry “Tony” Costantino and Heather of Lynn, Dianne Serwon of Seabrook, NH, Gino Costantino and Janice of Rochester, NH and Tina Costantino of Maine, her 8 grandchildren, her many great-grandchildren, her sister, Claire Morgan and her husband, Mike of Revere and many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Danny Costantino, grandmother of the late Dianna Cunha Costantino and Johnny J. Costantino and sister of the late Joseph Walsh and mother-in-law of the late Stephen Serwon.

ARRANGEMENTS: Doris’ funeral will be held from O’Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 84 Washington Sq., (at Salem Common) Salem on Wednesday, June 9^th at 9 A.M. followed by her funeral Mass in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Margin St., Peabody at 10 A.M.. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem. Visiting hours Tuesday, June 8^th from 4 to 8 P.M.
