PEABODY- Mrs. Doris M. (Winer) Murphy 91, of Peabody, beloved wife of the late Robert D. Murphy, died Friday, August 30th, 2013.

Born in Roxbury, she was the daughter of the late Newcomb and Dorothy (Hindon) Winer. Mrs. Murphy had resided for the past seven years in Haverhill and previously had resided in Peabody, Malden and North Reading. Doris had been employed for 17 years as a clerk at Stop & Shop in the Danvers Plaza until the time of her retirement. A loving grandmother, she was a long time member of the Peabody Council on Aging and will be deeply missed. Doris is survived by her granddaughter Jami Zarella and her wife Danielle DeBlois of Merrimac, her grandson John Zarella of North Reading and her step brother, Richard Royal and his wife Josephine of Malden.
