Mrs. Dorothy May (Currier) Comeau, 85, of Middleton, beloved wife of Donald Comeau, died early Sunday morning at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers surrounded by her family.
Born in Middleton, she was the daughter of the late Fred L. and Mildred A. (Kenniston) Currier. She was raised and educated in Middleton and Danvers and was a graduate of Holten High School.
Mrs. Comeau had been employed as a hairdresser for many years on the North Shore.
A life-long resident of Middleton, Dorothy was a member of the Middleton Congregational Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her devoted granddaughters. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be deeply missed.
In addition to her loving husband of 42 years, Dorothy is survived by her three granddaughters Stephanie Leary of Middleton, Julie Kennedy of Brentwood, NH and Carolyn Takesian of Haverhill, seven great grandchildren, her brother Donald R. Currier of California and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Barbara (McKenney) Erlbacher and the sister of the late Robert L. Currier.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral service will be held graveside in Oakdale Cemetery, Middleton, Wednesday at 11 A.M. Relatives and friends invited. As requested, no visiting hours. Assisting the family with the arrangements is the Peterson-O'Donnell Funeral Home 167 Maple St (Rte. 62) Danvers. In lieu of flowers, expression of sympathy may be made in Dorothy's memory to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place West-6th Fl., Brookline, MA 02445.
