LAWRENCE- Dorothy I. (Emerson) Barkin, 91 years old passed away peacefully on April 15th, 2022, in Lawrence, Massachusetts.

Born in Salem, Massachusetts on May 3, 1930, to Augustus James and Anna Mary (Cronin) Mallard, Dorothy was the youngest of six siblings all of whom have predeceased her. Dorothy was blessed with six children, 4 daughters and 2 sons. Surviving her are her daughters and their husbands; Susan and Frederick Meyers, and Barbara and Christopher Bates both of Tequesta, FL., Patricia and Garth Craig of Burlington, MA and Deborah and Peter Livingstone of Windham, NH and her son’s and their wives; Robert and Cynthia Emerson of Hallandale, FL and Roger and Angelica Emerson of Buda, TX.

Dorothy was also grandmother to 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Her family was extremely proud of her achievement as a licensed nurse where she enjoyed a long and successful career in nursing.
