E. Suzanne (Clary) Scully

SALEM – Ms. E. Suzanne “Sue” (Clary) Scully, 82 of Salem passed away peacefully on Monday, May 22nd, 2023 at Emerson Hospital in Concord.

Sue was the youngest child and only daughter of the late Kathleen Shea Clary and James M. Clary of Danvers. She was predeceased by her two older brothers, James Jr. and Richard N. Clary.

Sue was raised in Danvers and graduated from Holten High School in 1959. She then pursued nursing at North Shore Babies and Children’s Hospital in Salem. She received the highest mark in her class on the state board exams as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She also designed the uniform for the graduating class. After nursing, she married and had two children. Sharon Scully Sell of Westford, MA and the Rev. Shaun Patrick Scully of Atlanta, GA.

She spent the last two decades of her life living at Brookhouse Home for Women in Salem, where she truly felt at home.

She dearly loved her one and only grandchild, Christopher J. Sell, son of Sharon and Andy Sell. She leaves four nephews, Bob, Brian and the twins, Kevin and Michael Clary.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to attend Sue’s funeral service which will be held graveside at Central Cemetery in Beverly on Friday, May 26th, 2023 at 12:30 P.M.
