Edward Kennedy Obituary

BEVERLY– Edward Kennedy, 70, of Beverly, passed away on November 21, 2020 at Beverly Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He leaves behind his wife Cindy, his two sons, Matthew and Sean, his brother Bob, sister-in-law Rhonda, along with several nieces and nephews.

Ed was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on May 2, 1950, the son of the late Matthew Kennedy and Gladys (Jones) Kennedy. He grew up in Danvers and graduated from Danvers High School in 1969. In 1978, he received a degree in Culinary Arts from Essex Agricultural School.

After high school, he attended the Woodstock Music Festival and completed two cross-country road trips. He worked several jobs in construction before working at Beverly Hospital in the Plant Operations department for 28 years.

An avid outdoorsman, Ed enjoyed fishing, camping, and birding. He will always be remembered for his strong work ethic and his willingness to help those in need. He loved spending his vacation time with his family in Maine, Vermont, and the Florida Keys.

ARRANGEMENTS: A celebration of Ed’s life, which will be open to the public, will be held at a later date when the pandemic has eased.
