NORTH ANDOVER - Mr. Edwin A. Quinn 89, of North Andover, died April 26th, 2015 at Sutton Hill Center in North Andover. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was the son of the late Edward and Florence (Renault). Ed was raised and educated in Brooklyn, having moved to Malden at the age of 13. He attended St. Mary's School in Lynn. An honorably discharged veteran, he served his country as a member of the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a decorated war hero who flew over 50 missions as a gunner on B24 Aircrafts over Germany as a member of the Flying Horsemen 449th Bomb Group (H).

He was a pre-eminent real estate developer and businessman on the North Shore and in the City of Peabody. He built homes and shopping plazas all over the North Shore and along the Route 1 corridor for over 50 years. He had a great ability to foresee the development of a piece of property before anyone else. He owned many investment properties along Route 1 over the years and was also the proprietor of Quinn Brothers Iron Works in Peabody. He was a self-made and well-respected businessman.

A longtime resident of the Town of Topsfield, Ed enjoyed automobiles and had a collection of exotic cars. He took pleasure in spending time at his home in Naples, Florida. Edwin is survived by Mary Quinn, their son Paul and his wife Cynthia, his grandchildren Paul Jr. and Christiana, a great grandson, his brother Felix and his wife Patricia, his sister Edith Sadowski, and many nieces and nephews.
