Eleanor Restuccia Obituary

MIDDLETON- Mrs. Eleanor (Barletta) Restuccia 95, of Middleton, formerly of Everett and Melrose, beloved wife of 69 years to the late Salvatore V. Restuccia, died peacefully, April 22nd, 2022 at Masconomet Nursing Home in Topsfield.

Born in Everett, she was the daughter of the late Sabatino and Mary (Dino) Barletta. She was raised and educated in Everett and was a graduate of Everett High School.

As a young professional woman, Eleanor began her career working with First National Bank in Boston. Upon meeting the lover of her life, Sal, Eleanor focused her time and efforts to raising her family and creating a warm and welcoming home. After her children were grown, Mrs. Restuccia rejoined the working world and began a long career with Shrink Packaging Systems working as a secretary for over 25 years until the time of her retirement in 1996. She was well respected and admired for her dedication to her company and profession. 

A life long learner, Eleanor enjoyed taking writing classes to perfect her writing skills for her job as a secretary. She attended Bunker Hill Community College for many years. She and her husband enjoyed a great life together, traveling the world and spending time at their residences in New Hampshire and Florida. She had a love of light houses and made afghans and quilts for all of her family and friends.Above all else family was always paramount in her life. She was the backbone of her family and always there to support her children in their time of need. She was a great matriarch and will be remembered for her devotion to her husband and children.

Eleanor is survived by her daughter, Janet Riley of Middleton and her companion William Moore, her son, Frank Restuccia of Newport Richie, FL, her grandchildren, Michele Wolfe and her husband Brandon of Tyngsboro and Matthew Riley and his wife Christina of Haverhill and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Paul Restuccia, grandmother of the late Meghan Riley, twin sister of the late Louise McCarthy and mother-in-law of the late William Riley.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral service will be held at O’Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 167 Maple St., (rte 62) DANVERS, Friday, April 29th at 11 A.M. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours prior to the service from 9:30 to 11 A.M. Burial in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Expressions of sympathy may be made in Eleanor’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association, P.O.
