PEABODY – Mr. Elias Moya, 32, of Peabody, beloved husband of Christine Moya, died unexpectedly, October 5th, 2020.
Born in Jarabacoa, Dominican Republic, he was the son of Rafael Moya and Blanca Espinal. He immigrated to the United States in 1994 settling with his family in Salem. He was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Salem High School.
A butcher by trade and profession, Mr. Moya loved his career and took his craft very seriously. He was well skilled as a butcher and associated with many butcheries throughout the North Shore.
A loving husband, father, son, brother, nephew and friend, Elias was a renown break dancer. He had a true passion for music and was respected for his ability to write rhymes and verses. He expressed himself through his fashionable style. He was a Hip Hop artist and truly “lived” the music and lyrics.
Always an athlete, Elias excelled in sports and was an avid runner and fitness enthusiast. He enjoyed the out of doors, nature and spending time camping in the country side. Above all else he was a kind hearted man, who was loyal to his family and his many friends.
Elias is survived by his wife, Christine Moya of Peabody, his children, Adrianna and Aiden, his parents, Rafael Moya and Blanca Espinal, his siblings, Willy Duran, Wildy Moya, Briana Moya and Brady Moya and many extended family and friends.
ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral Mass will be held at St. Thomas the apostle Church, Margin St., Peabody/Salem line, Friday October 9th at 10 A.M.. Visiting hours at O’Donnell – Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 84 Washington Sq., Salem, MA, 01970, Thursday, October 8th from 5 to 8 P.M. All attendees are required to wear face coverings, practice social distancing and are respectfully asked for no physical contact with the family. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
