SALEM – Mrs. Elsa Maria (DiMambro) Guy-Fiske, 88 of Salem, loving wife of the late Robert Fiske and the late John W. Guy passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at Adviniacare in Salem with her family by her side.
Born in Salem, Elsa was the daughter of the late Louis J. DiMambro and Maria (Cornacchia) DiMambro. Raised and educated in Salem, she attended Salem Public Schools.
Elsa’s true-life passion, was her family; especially her children and as life carried on, the families they provided. In addition to providing a nurturing home for her children, Elsa worked at Salem Hospital in the Distribution Division where she assisted in hospital transport for many years.
A woman of strong and everlasting faith, Elsa truly led her life through the hands of God. Her devotion to her faith was present in all of her actions. She was a selfless mother, who tended to the needs of her children, providing them with a warm, loving home. She was a longtime member of the former St. Mary’s Italian Church in Salem and looked to God for advice and guidance throughout her life. As a first generation of an Italian descent family, Elsa was a skilled and excellent cook. She loved listening to music and enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed by her loving family and friends.
Elsa is survived by her children, Richard Guy and his girlfriend, Denise Webster of Byfield, James Guy and his wife, Donna of Beverly, Elaine Guy – Stavros and her husband, Dwayne of Salem, Pamela Fraser and her husband, Daniel of Springvale, ME and Joseph L. Guy and his wife, Liliana of Manchester, NH, her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Elsa was the mother of the late Doreen M. Martini, John William Guy, Jr., David W. Guy and Mark S. Guy and sister of the late Anthony, Alessandra, Flora, Joseph, Roger, Dante and Gardo.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours which will be held at O’Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 84 Washington Sq., (at Salem Common), Salem, Monday, March 22nd from 10 A.M until 12 Noon. Immediately followed by her Funeral Service at 12:30 P.M. All attendees are required to wear face coverings, practice social distancing and are respectfully asked for no physical contact with the family. Burial in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem.
