BEVERLY – Mr. George Kaplan, 59, of Beverly, beloved husband of Robyn (Rabinovitz) Kaplan, entered eternal rest, Monday, April 6, 2020 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Stoneham, he was the son of Henry and Leona (Langee) Kaplan. He was raised and educated in Peabody and was a graduate of Peabody High School, Class of 1978. He continued his education at University of Massachusetts, Amherst graduating with the class of 1982. He earned his Master's Degree in Accounting from Bentley University in 1993.

Mr. Kaplan was a Certified Public Accountant, beginning his career with the Arthur Anderson Company. In 1990, he founded George Kaplan P.C., a specialized accounting and Financial consulting firm, where he was the owner and operator for over thirty years.

An active member of the North Shore Community at large, George devoted much of his time, effort and care to bettering the lives and futures of its residents. He was an active member of the Salem Rotary Club and member of the board of directors. He was member of the board of directors of the Boys & Girls Club of Salem and took great pride in enriching the lives of the youth of Salem. He was an advisor of the North Shore Community Health Center and member of the board of Directors of Temple B'nai Abraham of Beverly. He enjoyed spending his time skiing, hiking, exploring the out of doors and cheering on his children at their life events and competitions. Family was paramount in his life and his greatest joy came from his beloved wife and children. He was extremely proud of all of their accomplishments. His everlasting hall marks will be his devotion and love to his family, care and commitment to his community and his deep and everlasting faith.

George is survived by his loving wife Robyn (Rabinovitz) Kaplan, his daughter, Becah Kaplan, his sons, Noah and Kaleb Kaplan all of Beverly, his parents, Henry and Leona (Langee) Kaplan of Peabody, his sisters, Jenny Roney of California and Phyllis Levine and her husband Arthur of Amesbury and many nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: The Kaplan family will be holding a Celebration of George's Life to which all will be invited, at a date and time to be announced. Assisting the family with the arrangements is The O'Donnell Funeral Home, 84 Washington Sq., (at Salem Common) Salem. Private burial was held in Sons of Abraham Cemetery, Beverly.  Sharing written remembrances and condolences during this time will be essential in helping George's family reminisce, celebrate and heal.
