Grace Best

DANVERS – Ms. Grace May (Compton) Best 95, of Danvers, passed away peacefully April 25, 2020.

Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late William and Anne Slocum) Compton. She was raised and educated in Pennsylvania.

Grace devoted her life to her family. She took great pride in providing a warm and inviting home for her beloved family. She supported her children in all of their endeavors and was very proud of all of their accomplishments and the adults they have become. She was a devoted grandmother who loved to spend time with her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed.

Grace was devoted to her faith. Her love of the Lord will be one of her everlasting hallmarks.

Grace is survived by her daughter, Sally Best of North Dakota, her sons, Paul Best of Stratham, NH, Richard Best of Beverly and Jonathan Best and his wife Ellen of Middleton, her 11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and extended family and nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Rebecca (Best) Randall of Frisco, Texas. She was also predeceased by 6 brothers and sisters.

ARRANGEMENTS: A public funeral service and celebration of life will be held in Grace’s honor at a date and time to be announced. Assisting the family with the arrangements is the Peterson-O’Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St., (rte 62) Danvers.
