Harold Demmons Obituary

DANVERS – Mr. Harold Demmons, 81, of Danvers, beloved husband of the late Dorothy M. (Trask Pellicelli) Demmons, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 16th, 2021 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.

Born in Peabody, he was the son of the late Roy and Mary (Stewart) Demmons. Raised and educated in Danvers, Harold was a graduate of Danvers High School. Upon his high school graduation, Harold enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War Era.

As a professional, Harold dedicated his career to the painting industry where his attention to detail and skill had him well respected throughout the trade. For many years, Harold worked independently as a commercial and residential painter. More recently, he worked as a union painter for Aulson Company contracting until the time of his retirement.

A true and proud New Englander, Harold loved spending his time supporting the local sport teams, especially the Red Sox. He enjoyed being home, with his family, especially his grandchildren who were the light of his life. Coming from a large extended family, Harold was truly happiest when making memories with his loved ones. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Harold is survived by his sons, Roy Demmons and his wife, Linda of Tewksbury and Wayne Demmons and his wife, Pamela of Wolcott, CT; his treasured grandchildren, Adam Demmons of Tewksbury, Christopher Demmons and his fiancé, Marea Capadanno of Dracut, Eric Demmons and his wife, Chantal of CT and James Demmons of CT; his sisters, Doris Lundquist of KY and Dorothy Curtis of Beverly; his brother-in-law, Lenny Moore of Danvers and many nieces and nephews including, Donna Newhall, Scott Moore and Dorothy Moore, all of Danvers. Harold was the brother of the late, Elizabeth Lyons, John Demmons, Robert Demmons, Joyce Hussey, Margaret Moore, Donald Demmons and Robert Demmons.      

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to attend Harold’s funeral service which will be held at O’Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 167 Maple St., (Rte. 62) DANVERS on Wednesday, December 22nd at 11 A.M. Visiting hours prior to the service from 9 to 11 A.M. Burial in Oakdale Cemetery, Middleton.
