PEABODY- Mr. Harold K. Thomas, 81, of Peabody, beloved husband of Jane S. (Conner) Thomas died peacefully following a brief illness on Saturday, March 21st, 2015 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, surrounded by the comforting presence of his family. Born in Danvers, he was the son of the late Harold and Ida (Keniston) Thomas. He was raised and educated in Danvers. He was a graduate of Danvers High School and Wentworth Institute of Technology. An honorably discharged veteran, he served his country as a member of the United States Army. Mr. Thomas had been employed with the Sylvania Company at its Loring Avenue Plant in Salem. More recently he was the proprietor of his own oil burner service company for many years. A loving husband and father, Hal liked to spend his free time in New Hampshire at his home on the lake and he enjoyed watching his children water ski and tube. He also enjoyed traveling in his motor home to many interesting locations and truly enjoyed meeting new people and making friends. His annual trip to Aruba each spring was something that he truly looked forward to. He will be deeply missed. Hal is survived by his loving wife, Jane S. Thomas of Peabody, with whom he shared 53 years of marriage, his daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and John Jeffries of Haverhill, his son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Wendy Thomas of Peabody, five amazing grandchildren, Danielle, Evan, and Olivia Jeffries and Nicole and Emily Thomas.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours in the Peterson-O'Donnell Funeral Home 167 Maple St., (rte 62) Danvers, Tuesday, March 24th from 5 to 8 P.M. Private burial in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
