BENTON, AR - Henry Vincent Greener, 66, of Benton, Arkansas, passed away unexpectedly on May 5th, 2022. He was born to William K. Greener and Henrietta R (McEachern) Greener on March 31st, 1956. They have both predeceased him. He was also stepson to Joan E. Greener of Salem.
Henry was born in Peabody, MA and grew up in Salem, MA. He attended Salem schools, played little league and midget football as a child. He loved playing sports as a child and was an avid sports fan as an adult. He was a fan of both Arkansas and Boston teams.
Henry was a member of the armed forces during the 70’s and upon his return he began his working career at GTE Sylvania on Loring Ave in Salem. It was while working there he decided to return to school. He attained his GED, then attended NSCC. It was at Salem State where he earned his master’s in business. In the early 1990’s he was employed by Eastern Bank in their IT department where he helped them to create banking networks that served many communities. He loved everything about networking and computer security, and this led him to move on to Benton Arkansas where he joined FIS Global. At this company, he worked as a senior network specialist. It was also in Benton that he got to spend his life with his true love, Susan McGowen
Besides his parent, Henry was predeceased by his brother, William K. Greener who passed in 1973. He is survived by his brother, John Greener of Nashua, NH and his sister, Kathryn Olcott and her husband, Larry of Peabody MA. Henry also leaves his nephews, William Bonocore and Dana Bonocore of Salem, and his niece, Allyson Abbott Peabody. Henry also leaves behind Susan and many of her family members in Arkansas.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and Friends are invited to his funeral service which will be held graveside at St. Mary’s Cemetery, North St., Salem. Monday, June 6th at 11 A.M.
