DANVERS - Mrs. Irene Marjorie Boudreau 84, of Danvers, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2018 at Rosewood Nursing Home in Peabody surrounded by her loving family.

Born in North Reading, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Christine (Dickie) Meuse. She was raised and educated in Lynn and was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School. She continued her education at Fitchburg State College.

Irene had been employed for over 20 years with the Essex County Registry of Deeds until the time of her retirement in 2000. A talented seamstress, Irene created many beautiful dresses over the years. She expertly crafted Bridal, First Communion and other special occasion gowns. She took great pride in her creations and was known for her beautiful attention to detail and her elegant handcrafted masterpieces. She reveled in the joy her creations brought to others on their special day.

She was a woman devoted to her family and to her Catholic faith, and additionally was a passionate, active member of the St. Richard Parish family. For many years she was the Director of Right of Christian Initiation of Adults at St. Richard's, shepherding many in their formation of the Catholic faith.

Irene's ever-present smile was her calling card and hallmark. Her affable disposition endeared her to many. She was dependable, caring, loving and kind. Her family was of the utmost importance to her, and along with her faith, they defined her life. She was formative in the raising of her grandchildren and made sure to include faith in everyday life. She was an avid traveler, loved to cruise around the world and dance the night away. Her life was full of love, given and received. She never uttered a disparaging word. She was a woman of great dignity, humility, faith and love. She will be deeply missed.

Irene is survived by her daughter, Ruth Ann Boudreau-Koutsos and her husband George T. of Danvers, her daughter-in-law, Marilyn Boudreau of Danvers, her son Alan R. Boudreau of Jacksonville, N.C., her 8 grandchildren, two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Joseph A. Boudreau and the sister of the late Phyllis Dunham, Gordon and Robert Levere. ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral will be held from the Peterson-O'Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St., (Rt. 62) Danvers, Saturday, Dec. 15th at 9 A.M. followed by her funeral Mass in St. Richard Church, Forest St., Danvers at 10 A.M. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Danvers. Visiting hours Friday, Dec. 14th from 4 to 7 P.M. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Irene's memory to St. Richard Parish, 90 Forest St., Danvers, MA 01923.
