DANVERS - Mrs. Irene D. (Howard) Green, 87, of Danvers, beloved wife of 60 years to the late Robert A. Green, died Thursday, April 13, 2017.

Born in Wrightsville, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Lorena (Perkins) Howard. She was raised and educated in West Virginia.

Mrs. Green had been employed at Richwood Clothes Pin Factory and for many years she had been employed at Sacred Heart Hospital in West Virginia.

A longtime resident of Richwood, West Virginia, Irene moved to Danvers in 1954 when she met the love of her life. She has since resided in Danvers and made herself and family a part of the community. She was an active member of the Holy Trinity United Methodist Church in Danvers where Irene and her beloved husband Bob served coffee together for over 21 years. Bob and Irene played Santa and Mrs. Clause at local churches and nursing homes for many years, during the holiday season. Irene dedicated her life to helping others. She was dedicated to her beloved husband, her children, grandchildren and her faith in God.

Irene is survived by one daughter, Lorena A. Logan of Florida, two sons, Michael Green of North Carolina and James Green of Saugus, Massachusetts, her grandchildren, Ashley Logan, Jonathan and Ian Green, her brother Charles Howard and his wife Earla of Ohio and several nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral service will be held in the Holy Trinity United Methodist Church, Sylvan St., Danvers on Wednesday, April 19th at 11 A.M. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Danvers. Visiting hours will be held in the Peterson-O'Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St., (rte. 62) Danvers on Tuesday, April 18th from 4-7 P.M.
