SALEM – Mr. Ismael A. Taveras, 85, passed away Monday, November 14th. Born in Villa Lobo, Dominican Republic, he was the son of the late Corina Garcia. Ismael was the husband of Maria A. Gomez de Taveras with whom he celebrated many years of marriage.
Mr. Taveras moved to Peabody in 1967, later residing in Salem and Lynn. Ismael was a devout Catholic and was apart of numerous groups in the Dominican Republic which followed to his new life in America. He became a member of Saint John the Baptist Church in Peabody and attended mass regularly. Ismael worked hard to provide for his family throughout the years.
In addition to his beloved wife, Maria, Ismael is survived by several brothers in law as well as sisters in law and several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS – Relatives and friends are invited to attend Ismael’s Funeral Mass to be held at Saint John the Baptist Church, 17 Chestnut St., Peabody, Friday, Nov. 18th at 10 A.M.
