IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James Phillip
Jackson
March 12, 1966 – August 5, 2019
SALEM - Mr. James Phillip Jackson 53, of Salem, died unexpectedly Monday, August 5, 2019 at Salem hospital, following a courageous battle with lung cancer. Born in Salem, he was the son of the late James P. and Mary J. (Smith) Jackson and brother of the late Jeannette Jackson. He was raised and educated in Salem and attended Salem High School.
Mr. Jackson had been employed for many years in the construction industry as a laborer and handyman. He was talented with his hands and never afraid of a hard day work. He loved to be challenged with a difficult task and took great pride in figuring out and completing the most difficult of jobs.
Jimmy was well known throughout the City of Salem. Especially for his kindness and willingness to help others. He enjoyed sharing his skills with others for a day or just a simple task. He was the ultimate friend and it was his life's pleasure to help those in need. If you were in need and asked Jimmy for help he was there in an instant. He was generous, kind and friendly and will be deeply missed.
He enjoyed challenging his mind with puzzles and intricate models. He enjoyed cars especially hot rods and was a passionate animal lover. His faith was very important to him and he attended church weekly. He was loved deeply and will be missed.
Jimmy is survived by his sister, Jill Jackson and her fiancé Philip Ketrelakes Jr. of Peabody, his brother, Peter Jackson and his wife Erin of Beverly, his nieces and nephews, Chyenne Jackson, Philip Ketrelakes III., Lily, Olivia, and Brianna Jackson.
