Jane Lee McCarthy

SALEM- Ms. Jane Lee McCarthy, 74, of Danvers, passed away peacefully on, Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at Putnam Farm Assisted Living in Danvers.

Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary (Lee) McCarthy. She was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Salem High School, Class of 1964.

Ms. McCarthy began a long and distinguished career at Salem District Court where she worked for over 38 years retiring as Clerk of Courts. Her knowledge, experience and dedication often made Jane sought after for expertise in her field.

Jane was a very private person, however she loved to entertain, her dinners were epic and she was the most gracious of hosts.  She loved being around her friends, dining out, cooking, traveling and she could always be counted on to make every season special with her beautiful decorations. Jane was smart, funny and a black belt in Karate and had an affinity for animals especially for her cat, Masie.

Jane will be fondly remembered for dinner parties, her love for friends and family and deeply missed those who knew her best.

Surviving Jane is her aunt, Joanne Malionek and her many Lee, Malionek, Myslinski and Rybicki cousins, her dear friend, Mark Ballard and her beloved Masie.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to Jane’s funeral Mass which will be celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Church, Hawthorne Blvd, Salem on Friday, December 4th, 2020 at 10 A.M.  All attendees must register to attend her funeral Mass by clicking the RSVP link below.
