Mrs. Janice May (Hersom) Cunningham, 88, of Danvers, beloved wife of the late James H. Cunningham, died Sunday, September 23, 2012, at Essex Park Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center, Beverly, surrounded by her family.

Born in Somerville, she was the daughter of the late Frank W. and Arline (Dunton) Hersom. Janice was raised and educated in Bangor, ME.

Janice resided in Maine until she met the love of her life, James Cunningham, and relocated to Massachusetts. She was devoted to her family and took pride in all of their accomplishments. A dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she will be deeply missed.

Janice is survived by her two daughters, Colleen Cunningham of Beverly and Karen Mitchell and her husband Carl of Newbury, her three grandchildren, Heather Goodwin and her husband Ryan, Jarod Mitchell, and Jason Mitchell, her great-grandchild, Liam Goodwin, and extended family and friends.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral service will be held in the Peterson-O'Donnell Funeral Home 167 Maple St., (rte 62) Danvers, Monday at 12 Noon. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Visiting time in the Peterson-O'Donnell Funeral Home prior to the funeral service from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Janice's memory to The Perkins School of the Blind, 175 North Beacon Street, Watertown, MA 02472. .
