John H. Cyr Jr.

SALEM - Mr. John H. Cyr Jr. 70, lifelong resident of the City of Salem, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 24th, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Salem on December 17th, 1953, he was the son of the late John Sr. and Patricia (Murtaugh) Cyr. He was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Salem High School.

John had a love for the ocean and spent much of his life lobstering and being out on his boat. Often times you could find him just sitting on the dock taking in the peaceful surroundings. John was a long-time friend of Bill W. and spent many years giving back to his fellowship.

Surviving John is his brother Kevin Cyr, his nieces, Emily, Abby, Kallie Cyr and her husband Juan Carlos Gomez, and Becky Hutchinson, his great nieces Lily, Alyza and Nova and great nephews Kevin, Damien, Makai and Ayden.
