BEVERLY – John Alexander Olbash, 76, of Beverly, formerly of Lynn, died peacefully at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston, in the company of his loving family, from complications following a fall at his home.
Born and raised in Lynn, the son of Edward and Anastasia Olbash, John attended the Lynn Public Schools, and was retired from the former Essex Bank/Bank of America.
John will be remembered for his kind, generous spirit and perseverance.
Surviving John are his siblings and his immediate caretakers Adam Olbash of Beverly, his brother with whom he resided, as well as his sister, Olga Yaghmourian of Beverly. He also leaves five additional brothers, Ronald Olbash and his wife, Gloria of Lynn, Henry Olbash and his partner, Mary Lou Bachini of Peabody, Frank Olbash and his wife, Rosemary of Amesbury, George Olbash of Lynn, and Edward Olbash and his wife, Terry of Georgetown, and sisters, Nancy Martin and Rosemary Olbash, both of Lynn, and the late Patricia Ambrosio of Greensboro, NC, as well as many nieces and nephews. John also leaves his friends and dedicated, compassionate caretakers at Element Care and its Adult Day Health Center, Cummings Center, Beverly.
ARRANGEMENTS: John’s Funeral Mass at St. Adelaide Parish Church, Peabody, was held privately due to Covid-19 restrictions, with interment in Beverly. As requested, there were no visiting hours. Assisting the family with the arrangements is the Peterson-O’Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St., Danvers, MA 01923. There will be a Celebration of John’s Life, when the restrictions are lifted.
