BEVERLY – Mr. John Joseph Terrio 81, of Beverly, beloved husband of Barbara F. (Mack) Terrio, died unexpectedly, Thursday, November 9th, 2023 at Beverly Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Born, August 19th, 1942, he was the son of the late Alfred Jr. and Mary Marie Jane (Cyr) Terrio, he was raised and educated in Peabody and was a graduate of Peabody Veterans Memorial High School, Class of 1961.
Mr. Terrio had been employed for over 40 years in the Insurance Industry. He worked in many capacities; as an adjuster, appraiser and manager and had been associated with GMC Insurance, Kemper and Arbella Insurance Company until the time of his retirement.
A long-time resident of the city of Beverly, John was an avid bowler in his younger years and enjoyed traveling. He was first and foremost a family man. He was happiest when surrounded by those he loved most and devoted his life to supporting and caring for his wife, children and grandchildren. He encouraged them in all of their endeavors and was exceptionally proud of their accomplishments.
John was the devoted husband and best friend of 60 years to his cherished wife, Barbara (Mack) Terrio of Beverly, loving and supportive father of Patricia Dellanno of Danvers, Dianne MacInnis and her husband, Jeffrey of Danvers, and Deborah Wescott and her husband, David of Hamilton, proud grandfather of Michael Dellanno and his wife, Samantha, Noelle (Dellanno) Riley and her husband, Christopher, Rebecca (MacInnis) LeWalle and her husband, Phillippe LeWalle, Tyler MacInnis, Emily MacInnis, Lindsay MacInnis, Jaclyn (Wescott) Carrier and her husband, Matthew and Eric Wescott, smitten great grandfather of Abigail Dellanno, brother of Frances (Terrio) McClure, brother-in-law of Lorraine Terrio and Patricia Alexander and uncle of many. John was pre-deceased by his brother, Alfred Terrio III, his sister, Dorothy (Terrio) Devlin and her husband, Paul, and his brother-in-law, Ronald Alexander.
