BEDFORD, MA – John ("Jack") Patrick Kelleher 61, of Bedford, died unexpectedly but peacefully on January 3, 2021 at his residence in Bedford.
An honorably discharged veteran, Jack served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps. He stayed connected with the Veterans Association for several years up until his death, whether it was befriending veterans he met while visiting the VA, or while he worked at the VA in Bedford. The VA was an extremely important part of his life - he was so proud to be a Marine. After his service, Jack was passionate about his career as an electrician.
A loving, son, brother, uncle and friend, Jack was an incredibly kind and selfless person. Helping others is what truly defined him - his heart was larger than life itself. He was also the biggest prankster ever, and got so many belly laughs from all the jokes he pulled, especially on his nieces and nephews. Up until his heart condition worsened, he continued to be an avid swimmer and practiced Karate. Jack was happiest when surrounded by family and friends. He will be missed more than words could ever describe.
Jack is survived by his devoted mother, Mary (Fleming) Kelleher of Stuart, Florida, his siblings, Kevin Kelleher of Saugus, Patricia Kelleher of Boxford, and Donna Kelleher Yassen of Saugus, as well as his nieces and nephews, Bryan Kelleher, Ashley Miller, Kelsey and Derek Michaud, Allen, Steven and Robby Matthis, and Susan Aheron. He now joins his late brother Bill Kelleher, who passed away ten years ago this March.
