HAMILTON – Mrs. Judith (Miller) Bynum, 92 of Hamilton, beloved wife of Alton C. Bynum, Sr. passed away peacefully on Monday, January 4, 2021 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers with her family by her side.
Born in Chicora, Pennsylvania, Judith was the daughter of the late John S. and Mildred C. (Shultz) Miller. Raised and educated in Pennsylvania, Judith was a graduate of Butler High School and continued her education at Tocca Falls College where she studied Religious Education, met the love of her life Alton and earned her bachelor’s degree.
Devoted to religious studies, Judith held several jobs throughout her college career involving bible classes, bookkeeping and accounting which tended to her longtime professional career as the Bookstore Manager for Gordon College in Wenham and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Hamilton.
She loved her family, people and her faith. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who went above and beyond to help others. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her husband Alton with whom she shared nearly 65 years of marriage, Judith is survived by her daughter, Daun M. Bynum King and her husband Walter of AL, her grandchildren, Stewart, Sarah and Michael King all of AL, her son, Alton Bynum and his wife Jacqueline of Hamilton, MA her grandchildren, Andrea Alexis and her husband Igor of MA, Michelle Partridge and her husband Ben of VT, Hannah Bynum, Alton Bynum III and Leslie Bynum all of MA, her great-grandchildren Abigail and Lydia Alexis and Polly, Sadie and Henry Partridge and her brother Steven Miller of Kane, PA. She was the sister of the late Jane Ritzert.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the Peterson-O’Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St., Danvers, MA 01923 on Friday, January 8th from 4 to 7 P.M.
