October 5, 1941 – March 27, 2015
HAMPSTEAD, N.H. - Mr. Laurence A. Doyle, 73 of Hampstead, New Hampshire passed away on Friday, March 27th 2015 at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center.
Born in Pawtucket, RI on October 5th, 1941 to late parents Laurence A. Doyle and Yvonne B. Levesque. Laurence (Larry) attended Our Lady of Providence Catholic Seminary in Providence, RI and Sacred Heart High-School in Central Falls, RI.
Larry enlisted in the US Air Force, McGuire AFB, NJ in 1960 where he went on to proudly serve his country in Wiesbaden, Germany as a draftsman. Following his service in the Air Force, he furthered his education at the University of Maryland in College Park, MD.
Larry worked in the cargo business where he was employed by Flying Tigers Asia in Seoul, South Korea and continued his career with Polar Air Cargo in San Francisco, CA and OceanAir in Revere, MA. In 2009 he transitioned into semi-retirement working as a TSA Agent out of Manchester, NH for the US Department of Homeland Security.
Possessing an enduring fondness for nature, he enjoyed "putting" around in his garden. A loyal fan of all New England sports, he also was a golf enthusiast who enjoyed the companionship of friends. A voracious reader, he could often be found enthralled in a good book (while sipping a glass of his favorite Merlot). Lively discussions of politics or sports were welcome any time.
His unsurpassing joy and devotion for the love of his life Kathy, and his family, were unparalleled.
Larry is survived by his adoring wife, Kathleen Wadlinger Doyle of Hampstead, NH; his children, Laurence (Lance) Doyle and wife Tobie of Arnold, CA, Shannon Doyle of Belmont, CA, Meghan Maher and husband Chris of East Islip, NY, Timothy Woitkun and wife GinaRose of Aberdeen, NJ; and six grandchildren, Tyler & Riley Doyle, Quinlan, Grace & Hadley Maher, and Wyatt Woitkun.
