SALEM – Mr. Lawrence A. “Larry” Gaudet, 65 of Salem, beloved husband of Rosemary (Remon) Gaudet, died Friday, June 19th, 2020 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.
Born in Salem, he was the son of Rachel (Gagnon) Gaudet and the late John D. Gaudet. He was raised and educated in Salem and Was a graduate of Salem High School.
Mr. Gaudet had been employed for over 20 years with the Salem Harbor Power Plant as a crew man. More recently he had been associated with the Marblehead Garden Center.
A lifelong resident of the city of Salem, Larry was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He had a passion for motorcycles and enjoyed spending his time in the outdoors camping and hiking. He loved to travel and was a long-time member of the GE Bowling League.
With an ever-present smile on his face, Larry endeared himself to many with his friendly nature. He was a good friend, a loving husband and father and a dedicated grandfather who will be deeply missed.
Larry is survived by his wife, Rosemary (Remon) Gaudet of Salem, his mother, Rachel (Gagnon) Gaudet, his daughters, Jamie Remon and her partner, Daniel Mora of Swampscott and Kristen Gaudet and her partner, Judex Pereira of Providence, RI, his son, Lawrence A. Gaudet Jr. and his fiancé, Jennifer Musto of Peabody, his 9 grandchildren, his sister, Dyan Beskid and her husband, Dean of Derry, N.H., his brother, John Gaudet and his wife, Linda of Peabody and several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours at O’Donnell – Cremations – Funerals - Celebrations, 84 Washington Sq., (at Salem Common) Salem, Tuesday, June 23rd from 4 to 7 P.M. All attendees are required to wear face coverings, practice social distancing and are respectfully asked for no physical contact with the family. All other services are private. Burial in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem.
