Ludwig O. Afzelius

DANVERS – Mr. Ludwig O. Afzelius, 76, passed away on Sunday, August 27th, 2023 at Beverly Hospital. Born in Manilla, Philippines, he was the son of the late Ivar Afzelius and Pilar Maria Casten Afzelius. Ludwig was the beloved husband of Jacqueline (Arguti) with whom he celebrated 50 years of marriage.

Having a strong work ethic, Ludwig always put his family first. While working and raising his family, he attended night classes at Northeastern University where he graduated with his Bachelor’s degree in accounting. Ludwig later went on to work for Boston Cab Company as a dispatcher and driver.

 Ludwig was an artistic soul, and loved playing guitar and immersing himself in a good book. He loved most of all, spending time with his family and making memories that they will forever hold close to their hearts.

He was a great husband, father, papa, father in-law and person. He will be deeply missed and will never be forgotten.

In addition to his beloved wife, Jacqueline, Ludwig is survived by his daughter Stephanie Afzelius Neary and her husband Jack, along with grandchildren Aidan and Brandon Neary.
