SALEM- Mr. Manuel V. Santos 86 of Salem, beloved husband of Maria (Garcia) Santos, died Monday, June 29th, 2015 at Salem Hospital surrounded by his family. Born in La Vega, Dominican Republic, he was the son of the late Manuel and Emelia (Pena) Santos. He was raised and educated in La Vega, Dominican Republic. Mr. Santos had been employed for 22 years as a Police Officer with the City of Bani, Dominican Republic Police Department until the time of his retirement. Manuel immigrated to the United States in 1995 and settled in Salem where he has since resided. He was an active communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church in Salem. He was a dedicated member of the Hispanic Catholic Community in the City of Salem and was devoted to the Word of God. He was a loving and kind man who always had a smile on his face. He enjoyed spending his time with his family and friends and was a tremendous dancer in his younger days. Above all else he was always thankful to God for the blessings he received in his life and would always be the first person to greet a neighbor or friend with a big smile. He will be remembered for his loving and positive personality, his devotion to his faith and family and his infectious smile. Manuel is survived by his wife, Maria "Crusila" Garcia de Santos, his children, Dulce Santos, Dionicio "Julio" Santos, Vinicio Santos, Maximo Santos, Rafael Santos and Alejandrina Santos, his grandchildren, Jhenser Martinez, Vimari Martinez, Rodney Santos, Raymi Santos, Yiscleimi "Yiyi" Santos, Jurelis Santos, Mayelinne Santos, Shaidelin Santos, Valentina Santos, Alejandra Santos, Noelia Santos, Maximo Santos, Ismael Santos, Mariel Santos, Yisandri Santos and Anna Ortiz, his great grandchildren, Wenser Martinez, Ashley Mejia, Eriel Perez, Celina Santos, Erickzon Santos Jr. and Aliyah Perez, his brothers, Benjamin Santos and Mario Santos, His daughters-in-law, Oceadelia "Arelis" Pimentel, Jirian Ortiz, Santa German, Mileidy Andujar, his son-in-law, Sandy Rosario and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Fallecido Santos.

ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral Mass will be held in the Immaculate Conception Church, Hawthorne Blvd., Salem, Friday, July 3rd at 10 A.M. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem. Visiting hours in The O'Donnell Funeral Home 46 Washington Sq., (At Salem Common) Salem, Thursday, July 2nd from 5 to 8 P.M.
